Certified Epic Beacon Applications Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Epic Beacon Certified Analyst II to support oncology and ambulatory workflows within a healthcare IT environment. This role focuses on system configuration, production support, troubleshooting, and optimization of Epic applications, with a strong emphasis on Beacon and Ambulatory modules.

The ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior level analyst who can work independently, serve as a subject matter expert (SME), and contribute to system enhancements that improve clinical and operational outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Epic Beacon and Ambulatory applications
  • Design, build, configure, and optimize Epic systems to align with clinical and operational workflows
  • Analyze system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions across multiple modules
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned applications and guide system-related decisions
  • Lead or coordinate system testing, upgrades, and change management initiatives
  • Support ticket resolution across multiple Epic modules while collaborating with end users, help desk, and IT teams
  • Prepare and deliver workflow demonstrations, training sessions, and user support
  • Assist with go-live activities and provide post-implementation support
  • Evaluate the impact of system changes on upstream and downstream workflows
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvements
  • Participate in project planning, stakeholder engagement, and performance improvement initiatives


Qualifications

  • Epic Beacon Certification (mandatory)
  • Epic Ambulatory Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • 2–3+ years of experience in Epic application support, healthcare IT, or healthcare operations with Epic systems
  • Hands-on experience with system build, configuration, and production support
  • Strong understanding of oncology workflows and clinical systems
  • Ability to manage and resolve tickets across multiple Epic modules
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently as an SME-level contributor
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare, or related field
  • Experience in clinical informatics or oncology-focused systems
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading junior analysts
  • Knowledge of broader IT systems (interfaces, infrastructure, security, etc.)


Important Details:

  • Permanent/Full-time position
  • Shift is 8 - 10 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week
  • Location is Binghamton, NY 13903 (Floating required)
  • Pay Range: $33.63 - $50.45 per hour (depending on experience)
