Cemetery Seasonal Laborer

Location: 6005 Parks & Recreation/Cemetery
Pay Grade: A00
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

This position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the city cemetery.

This position works 30 to 40 hours per week between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm.

*This position performs duties deemed to be “safety-sensitive" and is therefore subjected to random drug testing under the City’s policies*

• Assist with the placing of monuments
• Mark plots for burials
• Assist in funeral services, direct traffic, set up equipment, place flowers on grave site
• Assist in the maintenance of cemetery records
• Mow grass and operate a weed eater, fill in sunken grave sites, place sod or sow seed, spray herbicides
• Set monuments and markers, straighten monuments and markers
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• 16 years of age or more
• Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations
• No experience required
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
