SKILLS REQUIRED
Primary (Must-Have):
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying Private Cellular solutions (Private 4G/5G on licensed and/or CBRS spectrums)
• Extensive background in wireless technologies, Radio Frequency (RF) engineering, and LTE networks
• Experience with Cellular Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and signal boosting solutions
• Strong understanding of core network technologies and TCP/IP protocols (LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Firewalls)
• Proficient with network analysis and performance evaluation tools (e.g., Wireshark, iPerf)
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree in EE, CS, IS, or equivalent work history
Secondary (Good to Have):
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher networking certification
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong vendor management and cross-functional team leadership capabilities
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an expert Cellular and Radio Telecommunications Engineer for a high-impact, onsite role based in Plano, TX, requiring up to 50% travel to US-based manufacturing facilities. Positioned within the Enterprise Infrastructure function, the incumbent will develop standards, solution architectures, and long-term roadmaps for Private Cellular and Radio infrastructure across North American campus, data center, and manufacturing environments. This strategic role bridges the gap between technical design and business execution, ensuring the stability, capacity, and evolution of critical wireless network hardware and software.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the design, testing, evaluation, and deployment of Private Cellular initiatives, including proof-of-concepts (PoC) and production-grade private 4G/5G systems.
• Perform and coordinate comprehensive wireless site surveys and develop structural site plans to ensure total RF coverage across large-scale manufacturing facilities.
• Supervise and execute onsite installations, routine maintenance, software upgrades, and infrastructure expansions for cellular DAS and Private Cellular networks.
• Collaborate with core network engineering domains (LAN, WAN, Security) to align wireless deployments with enterprise standards and assess economic and technical feasibility across the technology lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary technical point of escalation for project execution and operational issues, interfacing directly with manufacturers and vendors for root-cause resolution.
• Manage the full change management workflow, track project resources, lead status meetings, and author comprehensive Operational Support Guides.
