Office Assistant – Cedar Hills Recreation Center

Join the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) as an Office Assistant and demonstrate your excellent customer service skills! THPRD is seeking dedicated and self-motivated individuals committed to providing exceptional customer service at the Cedar Hills Recreation Center.

As an Office Assistant, you’ll serve as the main point of contact for patrons, helping foster a welcoming and inclusive environment while providing vital administrative support to ensure smooth facility operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patrons professionally and courteously, in person and over the phone.
  • Provide information on schedules, programs, and general district services.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls; take messages accurately when needed.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, preparing and proofreading forms, letters, flyers, and other materials.
  • Assist with program enrollment, registration, payment processing, and generating required reports.


Qualifications

  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification OR willing to obtain upon hire
  • Experience with office management, customer service, or administrative work.
  • Strong commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Basic understanding of relevant software, especially Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Ability to learn and use proprietary registration software.

Pay Rate: $20.15

The hiring range for this position is $20.15 based on experience and internal equity. The full hourly range for this job classification is $21.15 - $23.85. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.


Scheduling

  • Weekday evenings 3pm – 8:30pm
  • Weekends 7:45am - 4:00pm
