Role Description

Overnight travel required.

We are looking for a qualified CDL-A Driver who resides in the northeast Ohio area to transport our products and equipment with the high level of service that our customers expect.


The main responsibility of the CDL-A Driver is to transport and operate equipment used in making asphalt products at various locations as needed.


Job Responsibilites, Qualifications and Requirements

Extensive overnight travel during peak season (approximately 50-75% a month)

Punctuality is critical

Willingness to work on short notice and be available via cell phone

Ability to perform mathematical calculations and solve problems

Professional communication with customers, vendors, and employees

A high degree of integrity; especially in regards to safety and DOT compliance

The ability to lift and carry samples, products, and equipment (25-70 lbs.)

The ability to climb ladders and platforms to operate equipment

Detailed oversight of his or her own employee expense reporting

Valid CDL A license and a clean driving record is required, insurable through company's insurance carrier

Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements required, or obtained within 90 days of hire

TWIC card preferred

Prior over the road experience (preferably a minimum of 5 years)

Front-end loader and fork-lift experience a plus

Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and commitment to vehicle safety

Proficiency in maintaining accurate delivery records and comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Physical fitness to assist with the loading and unloading of materials

Familiarity with regional routes and local traffic laws is a plus

Previous experience in the paving, construction, or similar industries is advantageous
