LHH is partnering with a client that is seeking a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across its U.S. supply base. This is a high-impact role within the procurement organization, responsible for driving cost savings, strengthening supplier partnerships across the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead domestic sourcing strategies across categories
- Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships, ensuring service and cost performance
- Manage and mentor a team
- Drive annual cost-savings initiatives through spend analysis and market intelligence
- Lead RFPs, negotiations, and contract development
- Monitor market trends and pricing indices to inform purchasing decisions
- Oversee accurate item setup, costing, and supplier assignments
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement
- 2+ years of people leadership with direct supervisory responsibility preferred
- Creative problem-solver with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Working knowledge of distribution, transportation, and end-to-end supply chain processes
- Solid understanding of inventory management principles
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and lead effectively in a team environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000
