Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Category / Pricing Analyst to work for one of our well-recognized retail greeting and paper goods providers. Prior experience working within retail with SKU's, pricing, and inventory is needed.

Location: Carlisle / Harrisburg, PA - 3 days per week in office - 2 days remote

Pay Rate: $26 - 30 per hour on W2



Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the maintenance and execution of all UPC add, deletes and price changes from ensuring input into Client system and launched to the stores.

• Apply appropriate attributes as part of this process

• Run regular file matches of what is in Client's systems compared to client’s Master UPC list. Address any differences.

• Manage item maintenance and upload for all promotions

• Manage and execute UPC/SKU set up for post season markdowns


Candidate requirements

• Must be familiar with and have access key Client systems to execute this work. In house and remotely. Client to provide PC and ensure regular access in office and remote.

• Expectation to be in a client office - 3 days a week. Harrisburgh, PA

• Be available to work at home or be available the other 2 days should any urgent need arises.


Duties include:

  • Discovering the underlying business need to be addressed and information related to the product and project requirements, often through conversations with stakeholders; Organizing, specifying and modeling the requirements to ensure they are complete and unambiguous
  • Documenting the requirements by creating Acceptance Criteria, User Stories or FSD that can be shared with stakeholders; Ensuring the requirements map to the real business need, are approved by all relevant stakeholders, and meet essential quality standards (including signoff on test case and test approach) and driving issue resolution related to requirements conflicts.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • The pricing analyst should have a minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in the role and works independently in complex situations and tasks
  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills, customer service focus, leadership abilities, ownership, urgency and follow-through, organizational and planning skills, facilitation skills, and avid learner
  • This person is experienced with selecting appropriate techniques to accomplish business analysis tasks in different situations
  • Education Requirement: At Minimum completion of High School Diploma or G.E.D., unless specified that a higher level of education is required for the position or stated otherwise in the job description.
