Other Conditions: Continuous recruitment until programmatic needs are met. Position is for a camp held on November 30, 2025 .
All positions require successful completion of a background check.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the beach volleyball camp/clinics by reinforcing positive attitudes and beach volleyball techniques. Assist the camp director in setting up beach volleyball courts with necessary equipment.
  • Lead campers with warm-up and agility drills.
  • Assist with teaching skills and techniques along the philosophies of UH beach volleyball coaching staff. Suggest beach volleyball drills based on the level of their assigned group of campers to the leading coaches.
  • Assist in the monitoring and safety of the participants.
  • Promote and foster a positive environment, appropriate behavior and sportsmanship by all participants and employees.
  • Know, recognize and comply with the laws, policies, rules and regulations governing the University of Hawai‘i and its employees, and the rules of the NCAA and affiliated conferences as now constituted or as may be amended in the future. Immediately advises the Director of Athletics or designee if there is reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees, students, or others, have occurred or will occur.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains confidentiality to include but not limited to information, files and records that the incumbent may obtain or possess, in accordance with federal and state laws and University of Hawaii policies.
  • Know, recognize, and comply with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the University of Hawai‘i and its employees, and the rules of the NCAA and affiliated conferences as now constituted or as may be amended in the future. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience playing or coaching beach volleyball at the junior or collegiate level.
  • Understanding of the philosophy of the UH beach volleyball coaching staff.
  • Have the ability to teach in a group and individual beach volleyball skills and techniques according to this philosophy; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
