Job Title: Case Packer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team dedicated to manufacturing fresh-label soups for major retailers. As a Case Packer, you will play a critical role in packaging, labeling, and palletizing soups, ensuring smooth machine operation and checking labels. This position involves repeated lifting, hand palletizing boxes weighing up to 30 lbs, and performing chemical cleaning within assigned areas.

Responsibilities

  • Package and label soups efficiently.
  • Palletize soups manually, ensuring boxes are correctly stacked.
  • Monitor machine packaging to ensure smooth operation.
  • Check labels for accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Perform chemical cleaning on a daily turnaround and during unplanned intervals.
  • Escalate machine and organizational issues to Line Specialist or Lead when necessary.
  • Support line operation documentation by completing required tasks and maintaining documentation.
  • Contribute to new initiatives by providing feedback, writing procedures, training others, and adopting new tasks.
  • Maintain and manage assigned tools effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • General labor and packing experience.
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Experience in palletizing and production.
  • Ability to maintain batch records and pick orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends on a seasonal basis.
  • Self-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to rotate through different machine center areas throughout shifts.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Obsessive attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Passionate about food and maintaining quality standards.

Work Environment

The work environment is a food production facility where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Employees must wear a hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, gloves, steel-toed boots (provided by the employee), and goggles. The facility maintains a cold temperature of 45 degrees.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.77 - $22.77/hr.
