Position Title: Case Manager - Bilingual
Reports To: Division Director
Classification: Regular Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
Location: Washington, DC - Northwest
Hours: Flexible schedule (Monday-Friday), between 7 am-8 pm, Some evenings, holidays, and weekends may be required to support operations and respond to emergencies.

Summary: The La Casa PSH Program is a Permanent Supportive Housing program in the District, which contains 40 studio-sized apartments in a state-of-the-art building. The program provides comprehensive case management services. The Permanent Supportive Housing program follows a Housing First model and philosophy and utilizes best practices to ensure participant success. The Case Manager provides direct case management services to previously chronically homeless single adult males living in single-site Permanent Supportive Housing. The Case Manager will assist participants in identifying and achieving immediate and long-term goals that will allow them to stabilize and remain in permanent housing. Case managers will work to empower participants in the housing program while promoting continued growth. The Case Manager will deliver participant-centered services to a caseload of 19 men who live on-site.

Working conditions: The office is located in an apartment building and exposed to conditions that arise in homes, including occasionally biohazards (e.g., blood, tissue, human waste) and conflict.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
The position will spend most of the time moving through the program site providing supportive services to residents and desk settings for required reporting. Employees must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time with repetitive motions and positions. Some lifting may be required (up to 20-25lbs).
Background Checks: [This position is classified as Safety Sensitive under DHS]. The selected candidate will be required to complete and pass background checks specific to contract requirements that may include criminal history background check and fingerprinting, FBI Background Check, DC Metropolitan Police Background Check, State-of-Residence Police Background Check, DC Child Abuse Registry (CFSA), National Sex Offender Registry Check, Drug Panel and Alcohol Screening, Tuberculosis Test, and Driving Record check (for positions transporting participants). Reference checks and verification of current and/or previous employment are required.

Specific Requirements: The employee must have a valid government-issued ID and have reliable transportation to arrive at the worksite on time.

Compensation: The hiring pay range is between $58,117.00 - $63,506.00 annually. Depending on the position, the starting hourly pay rate or annual salary is based on a step system. A candidate’s starting pay determination is made based on meeting the basic position requirements and current completed education, credentials, and/or work experience. Please Note: The step system is set and not open to pay negotiation. Before moving forward in the selection process, interested applicants are encouraged to discuss starting pay eligibility with the Human Resources (Talent) Department.
