About UsWicker Park Logistics is a Chicago-based freight brokerage built on relationships, not transactions. We specialize in bulk shipping — dry bulk, liquid bulk, pneumatic, and hopper — connecting shippers with reliable carrier partners who understand the unique demands of hauling commodities. Our team is growing fast, and we’re looking for people who want to grow with us.
If you know bulk, and you know how to build a carrier book that sticks, we want to talk.
The RoleAs a Bulk Carrier Sales Representative, you’ll own and grow carrier relationships across our bulk freight lanes. This isn’t general freight — you’ll be working with tankers, pneumatics, hoppers, and end dumps. You’ll negotiate rates, secure capacity in tight markets, and become the go-to person carriers want to run loads for. You’ll also work closely with our operations and customer teams to make sure every load moves safely, on time, and at the right price.
What You’ll Be Doing- Building and managing a book of bulk carriers (tanker, pneumatic, hopper, end dump, belly dump)

- Developing long-term carrier relationships that drive consistent coverage and competitive pricing
- Monitoring bulk freight markets and adjusting strategy based on seasonal demand, commodity cycles, and regional capacity shifts
- Coordinating with operations on load-specific requirements — hazmat compliance, product-specific equipment specs, loading/unloading procedures
- Using our TMS and load boards to identify, vet, and onboard qualified bulk carriers
- Hitting daily and weekly KPIs around coverage ratios, margin targets, and carrier retention
What We’re Looking For- 1+ years of experience in carrier sales, with direct bulk freight experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with bulk equipment types (tankers, pneumatics, hoppers, end dumps) and the commodities they haul
- Understanding of bulk-specific requirements: washouts, heel loads, hazmat endorsements, product contamination protocols
- Proven ability to build a carrier book and maintain high reuse rates
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with TMS platforms and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required — bulk experience matters more
Compensation & Benefits- Competitive base salary + uncapped commission
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- PTO and paid holidays
- A team that actually likes working together
