Carpenter

Rider University invites applications for aCarpenter who will perform general carpentry work relating to the layout, construction, repair, replacement, and maintenance of buildings, building components and institutional equipment and furnishings. Repairs furniture, doors, windows, screens, locks and other types of building components and devices. The Carpenter will operate a variety of woodworking machines and all woodworking power tools.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5-7 years of experience in carpentry work from layout to construction, all types of building maintenance from inside to outside.
• Knowledge of masonry repair.
• Capable of climbing and working from ladders.
• Operates all woodworking machines and all power tools.
• Ability to work independently.
• This position is required to report to work as part of Rider's emergency response team (e.g. snow removal). The emergency response team is required to work outside of regular business hours, such as nights, weekends and holidays as conditions require.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
