Description
Carry out tasks of carpentry work under the supervision of a qualified tradesman and consistent with apprenticeship level. The Carpenter I position assists with a wide variety of carpentry work such as being a cut man, preparing work areas with materials and tools, handling materials, cleaning work areas and tools. This position directly reports to the Foreman.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. 2+ years’ experience working as a Carpenter on commercial construction projects or related field.
2. Must have a good understanding of carpentry or related field.
3. Must have knowledge and safe use of basic hand/power tools.
4. Must be competent in installation of door hardware, drywall hanging and finish.
5. Ability to interpret plan, layout of framing and cabinets.
6. Must have basic hand tools.
7. Must have a current and valid United States Driver’s License.
8. Must have competent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Understand material and tool requirements of daily tasks.

FIELD:
· While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop or kneel.
· The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

FIELD:
· While performing the duties of this job, this position regularly works outdoors in various weather conditions. The team member frequently works near moving equipment, occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
