Build Your Career in Heart & Neurological CareMercy Hospital Washington is seeking a compassionate and motivated Cardiovascular Technician to support both cardiac and EEG services. This role offers hands-on patient care, meaningful physician collaboration, and on-the-job training, making it a great opportunity for both experienced technicians and those looking to grow their clinical skills.
You’ll play a direct role in helping physicians diagnose and treat patients—while gaining valuable experience in a supportive, team-based environment.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you will:
- Perform EKGs and assist with cardiovascular diagnostic testing
- Prepare patients and apply cardiac and event monitors
- Educate patients on proper use and wear of cardiac monitors
- Assist with EEG procedures (training provided)
- Process, review, and document cardiac and EEG tracings accurately
- Identify and recognize heart rhythms
- Communicate results clearly with ordering and consulting physicians
- Assist with patient scheduling and workflow coordination
- Support physicians and staff with patient flow, chart preparation, and dictation
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Perform preventative maintenance on monitoring equipment
- Notify Biomedical Engineering promptly of equipment concerns
- Clean and maintain TEE probes and related equipment (if applicable)
- Stock supplies and monitor expiration dates
- Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care
Training & Support- On-the-job training is provided, including EEG procedures

What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Ability to read, speak, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of related experience or Allied Health training
- Certification as:
- Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT)
- Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT)
- Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Technician (CET)
- Additional language skills are a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing and walking during shifts
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and squatting
