Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Technician


Assignment Overview

The EP Lab Technician will support a high‑volume cardiac electrophysiology program at a short‑term acute care, teaching hospital recognized among the Top 50 Heart & Vascular Centers in the U.S. This role involves hands‑on participation in complex EP procedures, advanced cardiac device implantation, and diagnostic studies in a fast‑paced environment.


Start Date: ASAP (Target: May 26)

Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)

Guaranteed Hours: Yes


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of recent EP Lab clinical experience
  • First‑time travelers accepted with required EP experience
  • Strong proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ablations
  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient EP settings
  • Ability to obtain and interpret vital signs and sinus node rhythms


Required Equipment Experience

  • Philips X‑ray systems or Siemens X‑ray systems
  • GE Micropacer

Preferred Equipment Experience

  • 3D Mapping: Biosense, Abbott/ESI
  • GE / Abbott EP‑4 systems
  • Siemens, GE, or ViewMate ultrasound systems
  • Laser lead extraction equipment

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Groin closure devices (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Peripheral vascular procedures
  • Laser lead extraction
  • Watchman and left atrial appendage closure
  • Trauma or children’s hospital experience


Required Certifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • CCI – RCES or RCIS
  • Flu Vaccine required (no exemptions)

Preferred Certifications

  • ARRT
  • Fluoroscopy Permit


Schedule

  • Day Shift
  • Options:4×10-hour shifts (07:00–17:30)
  • 3×12-hour day shifts
  • Late Coverage: 2 days per week
  • On‑Call: None
  • Weekends: None
  • Floating: None


*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
