Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.

This is a Middle Office Operations Analyst 3 role supporting the Credit Contingent Desk (CVA) and Macro Structured Solutions Trading desk that reside within Wells Fargo Securities.  This includes supporting trading and hedging activities that will include bonds, various interest rate swap products, credit default swaps, Eurodollars, FX, and commodities transactions, and structured notes.  Responsibilities of the team include trade capture, P&L generation and attribution, Volcker Risk-based P&L Attribution review, exception resolution, project management, position and trade maintenance, trial balance substantiation, and regulatory reporting.  The candidate will interact closely with multiple business partners including Trading, Sales, Finance, Technology, Documentation, Legal, Payments, Market Risk, CRO’s and DRO’s.  The candidate will also work with external counterparties in confirming and assuring trades settle appropriately.  This individual will be responsible for a variety of day to day tasks as well as ad hoc requests and project work.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.



Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of capital markets industry experience; or 4+ years of military experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • SQL experience


Other Desired Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of how capital markets work within a trading environment and have at least 4 years of experience in either a middle office support role and/or equivalent experience in supporting a derivative desk.  
  • Ideal candidate should have a strong skill set of profit and loss attribution (Greek based PL), strong understanding of derivative pricing, operational experience pertaining to capital market transactions, a conceptual understanding of either CVA , DVA, FVA, RWA, ImVA, Basel II and Basel III, and Dodd-Frank. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, and VBA.  
  • Experience with trading applications such as Bloomberg, Calypso, and Broadridge
