Title: Capacity Planning Analyst
Location: Foster City, CA
Onsite (Mon-Fri, 30 + hours)
Contract Duration: 6 - 12 months, with likely extension
Pay Rate: $68.51 per hour (w2)

Overview:
We are hiring a Capacity Planning Analyst to support operational uptime for an autonomous vehicle fleet. This role focuses on workforce planning, real-time operational support, and maintaining alignment between demand, capacity, and staffing through Workforce Management (WFM) systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Capacity Planning & Forecasting
- Support weekly planning cycles to project staffing needs over a 6–8 week horizon
- Analyze performance trends to inform forecasts and planning assumptions
- Translate demand volumes and handling times into staffing requirements
- Update forecasts based on demand shifts, trends, and business inputs
Workforce Management & Capacity Modeling
- Maintain and update assumptions and inputs within WFM tools (e.g., NICE, UKG)
- Configure system inputs to generate staffing and capacity outputs
- Perform capacity calculations based on demand and agreed assumptions
- Validate model outputs against operational expectations
Operational Monitoring & Adjustments
- Monitor demand vs. staffing and identify risks or gaps
- Translate short-term forecast changes into staffing adjustments
- Ensure updates are communicated to Scheduling and Operations teams
Data Integrity & Process Execution
- Validate data across forecasts, capacity models, and WFM systems
- Audit rosters and schedules for alignment with capacity plans
- Document and track changes to planning assumptions
- Follow standardized processes for updating staffing inputs
Planning Communication & Coordination
- Prepare and distribute weekly staffing and workload plans
- Highlight risks, gaps, and changes in capacity
- Support cross-functional alignment and escalation as needed
Daily Focus
- Execute workforce planning processes by translating demand signals into staffing plans using WFM tools. Maintain planning assumptions, support forecasting, and ensure staffing aligns with operational needs across service and R&D environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Analytics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–4 years in workforce planning, capacity planning, or operations analytics
- Experience with WFM platforms (NICE, UKG, Verint, etc.)
- Exposure to staffing models, service levels, or throughput metrics
- Skills
- Workforce planning fundamentals (demand, productivity, shrinkage, service levels)
- Forecasting and in-cycle adjustment capabilities
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Excel/Google Sheets
- Strong data analysis and trend interpretation skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, near real-time environments
- Clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience in fleet operations, logistics, or contact centers
- Exposure to real-time/intraday workforce management
- Experience supporting 24/7 or multi-site operations
