Calibration Technician
Location: Simi Valley, CA
Compensation: $26.00 – $30.00/hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (2nd Shift)


We are partnering with a world-class Aerospace Manufacturing leader to find a skilled Calibration Technician for their Simi Valley facility. Our partner supplies high-performance engineered components—including spherical bearings, mechanical seals, and gears—to major commercial air transport markets and global OEMs.
As a Calibration Tech, you will serve as the critical link between the shop floor and quality engineering. Your expertise ensures that every tool used in production meets stringent engineering specifications, directly impacting the safety and performance of flight control, landing gear, and engine systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Inspection: Perform operations using a variety of instruments including calipers, micrometers, air gages, and indicators.
• Gage Management: Set up, adjust, and verify the accuracy of gages using masters. Conduct periodic verification utilizing calibration history and Gage R&R studies.
• Technical Support: Act as the subject matter expert for manufacturing associates and certified operators regarding gaging and inspection topics.
• Process Improvement: Develop standard work for gage setups to minimize issues and reduce queue times.
• Documentation: Utilize calibration software (such as GAGEtrak) to track assignments and maintain meticulous history records.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to AS9100 and ISO9001 quality systems, communicating any non-compliance issues immediately.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) plus at least 5 years of Inspection and Gaging experience in a mechanical calibration (metrology) environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of calibration systems (ISO 10012 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Metrology Expertise: Ability to perform physical calibration of mechanical measuring and test equipment per written procedures.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in blue print interpretation, MSA, GR&R, and process capability analysis (Cpk).
• Communication: Ability to conduct training for staff on the proper use of gages to ensure tool longevity and accuracy.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift.
