Job Title: Calendar Clerk (Hybrid)
Location: Uniondale, NY (Hybrid)
Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 per year
About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and fast-paced Personal Injury law firm, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Calendar Clerk to support their litigation team. This role is critical in ensuring all court deadlines, appearances, and litigation milestones are accurately tracked and managed in compliance with New York court procedures.
This is a hybrid position based in Uniondale, offering a collaborative team environment and long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain attorneys’ litigation calendars, including court dates, motions, depositions, and other legal deadlines
- Track and calculate critical deadlines in personal injury litigation cases (statutes of limitation, filing deadlines, motion schedules, etc.)
- Review legal documents to identify and properly calendar required actions and due dates
- E-file legal documents through NYSCEF and other court systems as needed
- Coordinate scheduling between attorneys, courts, clients, and external counsel
- Monitor court updates, adjournments, and scheduling changes and update calendars accordingly
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all docketing and calendar entries
- Provide general administrative and litigation support to the legal team as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Calendar Clerk, Docketing Clerk, or legal assistant within a personal injury or litigation law firm
- Strong understanding of New York State court procedures and litigation timelines
- Hands-on experience with NYSCEF and/or other e-filing systems
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, dependable work style
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in personal injury litigation strongly preferred
- Familiarity with case management or docketing systems
- Experience supporting trial teams or litigation-heavy caseloads
