The incumbent will be part of WSP’s India–Sweden P&E discipline, responsible for delivering high-quality industrial process-piping modelling and design for various industrial projects. The role includes collaborative work with India and Sweden-based engineers and modellers, ensuring integrated, accurate, and compliant design outputs.
Develop 3D process-piping models, equipment layouts, and design updates for both brownfield
and greenfield industrial facilities.
Ensure rigourous QA/QC compliance of all piping deliverables in alignment with WSP and
client standards.
Interpret and apply piping design codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.) for accurate,
safe, and compliant outputs.
Produce layouts, isometrics, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D and coordinate
resolution of design discrepancies with engineers.
Provide technical design support, ensuring fit, form, function, maintainability, and dimensional
accuracy of piping systems.
Contribute as a technical specialist in resolving design challenges and reviewing work progress;
may independently deliver design packages or guide drafting resources.
Support or lead cross-functional design teams; mentor junior modellers when required.
Prepare and present multiple design iterations during reviews and multidisciplinary coordination
meetings.
Oversee drafting/design outputs to ensure accuracy, documentation integrity, and contract
compliance.
Work closely with the discipline engineers, project leads, and cross-regional teams to ensure
alignment across all project phases.
Use engineering tools and analytical methods to address complex design issues, redesign layouts,
and optimise system performance.
Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors for design reviews, clarifications, and schedule
coordination.
Participate in pre-construction and design-review discussions, answering technical design
queries.
