Position Overview

The CAD Technician will support engineering and surveying teams by producing accurate drawings derived from survey data, performing related calculations, and assisting with the organization and processing of field information. This role plays an important part in transforming field data into reliable, usable design and construction documents.


Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Office Location: Blue Bell, PA

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare survey-based drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D

- Draft ALTA/NSPS, boundary, subdivision, and related survey exhibits

- Utilize survey data to support engineering design and construction layout activities

- Research deeds, plats, title documents, right-of-way information, and utility records

- Create deed mosaics and assist with legal descriptions under direction of licensed professionals

- Perform construction layout computations and standard survey calculations

- Import, process, and organize survey data, including field notes, photos, and sketches

- Assist with file management and adherence to internal CAD and drafting standards

- Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure drawing accuracy

- Support quality control efforts by reviewing drawings for completeness and consistency

Requirements

- 3–5 years of experience working with survey or civil engineering CAD production

- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D

- Working knowledge of survey calculations and production workflows

- Ability to work on-site from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

- Valid driver’s license

- High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Carlson Survey and/or MicroStation

- Familiarity with field-to-finish survey workflows

- Prior survey field experience or exposure to survey data collection methods
