Job Title: CAD / CAM Programmer

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Programmer to support precision manufacturing operations by developing and optimizing CNC programs. This role is responsible for translating engineering designs into efficient machine-ready code, ensuring high-quality production, and improving machining processes. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with CAD/CAM tools, strong CNC programming knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop 2D and 3D models using CAD software based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Create and optimize CNC programs, including toolpaths for machining operations
- Convert design files into machine-readable code (G-code/M-code)
- Set up, test, and refine machining processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cycle time
- Perform simulations to identify and resolve programming or machining issues prior to production
- Collaborate with engineers and machinists to improve manufacturability and process outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation for programs, setups, and revisions
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and production requirements
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in CAD/CAM programming or CNC machining
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., VersaFAB or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Working knowledge of G-code and M-code programming
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
