𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲

Brand-new Bay Area chemical manufacturing facility. No legacy supplier database, no inherited MOQs, no historical lead times to work around. You set up the supplier network, the MRP cadence, and the planning rhythm that the next decade of operations will run on.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

Pave Talent is recruiting for a confidential client, a publicly traded specialty electronics materials leader (NYSE-listed) bringing a brand-new high-tech facility online for a first-to-market copper platform. Long-lead specialty inputs, single-source chemical suppliers, and supplier-qualification timelines you'd see in semiconductor procurement, all of it has to be designed from scratch before the first commercial batch ships. You sit at the intersection of procurement, planning, and operations for the build-out.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗢𝘄𝗻

• You build the supplier network. The decisions you make on suppliers, lead times, MOQs, and payment terms shape the cost structure of every product that comes off this line.

• Material Requirements Planning. Use MRP to analyze demand, generate purchase orders, and schedule deliveries against production requirements.

• Supplier database in the ERP system (setup, cross-reference, lead time, payment terms, MOQ), plus power-user role for the Esker system on non-inventory items and services.

• Inventory levels, usage patterns, and procurement adjustments to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.

• Supplier performance, vendor relationships, and the cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities those relationships create.

• Purchase requisitions, PO issuance, acknowledgment follow-up, and on-time delivery tracking. You own the Open Order Report.

• Strategic sourcing partnership with the Global Sourcing team, including site-driven savings projects.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴

• Bachelor's preferred in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a STEM discipline. Equivalent experience considered.

• 1 to 5 years in procurement, planning, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong analytical chops. Comfort interpreting data, trend analysis, and data-driven decisions.

• Detail-oriented with multitasking skill and fast-paced execution.

• Proficiency in MRP and ERP systems. JD Edwards (JDE) knowledge is a plus.

• Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodology exposure is a plus.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲

Three years from now you will be telling people you stood up the supply chain for a first-to-market copper-based product platform from scratch. Most supply chain roles are about maintaining what someone else built. This one is about building.

$72,000 to $108,000 base, plus performance bonus, full medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO and holidays, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and professional development support.
