Buyer/Planner (Aerospace)

Responsibilities
- Manage materials planning, purchasing, and inventory levels to support production schedules
- Secure and analyze supplier quotations to support cost‑effective decision‑making
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Maintain budget awareness and support cost‑reduction initiatives
- Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, documentation, or performance
- Communicate professionally with suppliers and customers regarding order status, lead times, and technical requirements
- Create and maintain detailed workflows, process documentation, and purchasing records
- Coordinate material availability with production planning to ensure on‑time delivery
- Support continuous improvement efforts in procurement and scheduling processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in purchasing, planning, or supply‑chain coordination (aerospace strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining and precision sheet‑metal fabrication
- Experience in the manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in materials planning, purchasing, and inventory management
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
