Buyer

The Buyer is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain for assigned commodities within the Specialty Gifts division. This role involves strategic sourcing, contract management, and complex financial analysis to ensure the property receives high-quality goods at the best total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing & Strategy: Develop and document comprehensive commodity strategies, including preferred supplier selection and logistics solutions.
• Negotiation & Bidding: Execute supplier negotiations using RFPs, market tests, and bid cost models.
• Cost Analysis: Perform detailed bid analysis and analyze costs based on the total cost of ownership to ensure maximum savings.
• Operational Execution: Issue purchase orders and conduct rigorous follow-ups with suppliers to ensure prompt shipments and quality standards.
• Relationship Management: Collaborate with user departments and stakeholders to provide value-add results and procurement recommendations.
• Supplier Oversight: Conduct regular supplier reviews and visits to understand manufacturing processes and new industry developments.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field required; MBA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills are essential for complex spreadsheet analysis and management reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Ariba within SAP is a plus (knowledge of Stratton Warren inventory systems also beneficial).
• Age/Legal: Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical/Environmental: This role is based on the Las Vegas Strip; must have the ability to work in an office environment that may include exposure to noise and cigarette smoke.

The pay range for this temporary-to-hire opportunity is $25 to $28/hr. based on experience.
