Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer II plays a key role in ensuring manufacturing is consistently supported through effective material planning, purchasing, and supplier coordination. In this role, you will manage the flow of materials, minimize excess inventory, and partner closely with suppliers and internal teams to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

This position is part of the Supply Chain team and is located in Fort Collins, CO with an onsite work arrangement.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Monitoring consumption‑based procurement reports and executing purchase orders in line with recommended ordering practices.
  • Reviewing past‑due purchase orders and proactively coordinating with suppliers on delivery status and updated timelines.
  • Responding to expedite requests to avoid manufacturing disruptions and support production continuity.
  • Analyzing supply and demand to prepare, release, and manage purchase orders, gaining approvals when required.
  • Partnering closely with suppliers to coordinate orders, deliveries, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting engineering changes and supplier change requests for purchased products in production.
  • Contributing to new product development efforts by supporting quoting activities, sourcing sample materials, and transitioning new products into production.
  • Identifying waste and driving process improvements aligned with Lean manufacturing principles, including Kanban and pull‑based inventory systems.
  • Supporting inventory control activities such as discrepancy resolution, usage analysis, and cycle counts as needed.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Kanban or pull‑based inventory systems.
  • Ability to analyze supply and demand data to support purchasing decisions.

It would be nice if you also possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field
  • Training in JIT, Lean Supply Chain tools, and/or Inventory Management.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 USD per year.
