The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.
The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.
The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.
The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers
The Operations Support - Procedures Team is responsible for establishing and maintaining the governance and operational infrastructure for Conduct Management and providing centralized support and services across the Conduct Management organization to meet our strategic priorities.
This Business Support Consultant role will report to the leader of Conduct Management Procedures and is responsible for completing activities related to the development and maintenance of Conduct Management procedures. The role will consult with management, business partners and subject matter experts regarding procedures that have significant complexity, scope, and impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with other Conduct Management leaders and consultants to implement and execute on an enterprise-wide future state operating approach for the team member allegation management process
- Revising current Conduct Management procedure documents to ensure alignment with the Allegation Management Policy/ Procedures and future state processes, as well as creating new procedures which provide direction for handling allegations throughout the allegation life-cycle
- Assessing current state procedural needs for Conduct Management and developing strategies for timely completion
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to gain knowledge necessary to revise and develop accurate and relevant procedures which clearly lay out expectations
- Communicating significant procedure changes to users
- Evaluating current procedure effectiveness and simplifying language to ensure proper understanding
- Transitioning, maintaining and managing all active Conduct Management procedure documents in the Policy Management System to create consistency
- Initiating, monitoring and tracking a biennial certification of all Conduct Management procedures
- Reviewing corporate policy changes to ensure Conduct Management procedures are revised to align
- Reviewing access requests for Conduct Management procedure documents and granting when appropriate
- Providing insights and perspectives on cross-functional initiatives
- Recommending best practices and process efficiencies

Required Qualifications
- 6+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services demonstrated through work or military experience

- Experience writing and editing internal communications and training-related materials in a corporate environment or financial institution
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience identifying inefficiencies, finding opportunities to streamline business processes, and implementing change
- Experience working with executives, senior managers and subject matter experts across Wells Fargo
Other Desired Qualifications - Experience planning, writing and revising procedures to support a business line and solve initiatives
- Experience identifying, analyzing and understanding complex processes with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
- Experience leading large scale procedure writing initiatives
- Experience with the Policy Management System
