Business Research Coordinator

Overview: 


APQC is looking for an organized, detail-oriented Research Coordinator to support research execution across our Research Services Team. The individual will be involved in project set up, tracking publishing, and project archiving.


Responsibilities:

  • Set up new research projects in approved systems and tools, including project records, workflows, documentation frameworks, file structures, templates, and collaboration spaces so teams have a consistent starting point for execution
  • Apply APQC’s Content Quality Rubric to evaluate each piece of research content and maintain records of content evaluation score
  • Prepare, format, publish, and distribute finalized research outputs across APQC platforms and channels in accordance with defined publishing workflows
  • Maintain research portfolio tracking and reporting for published content
  • Administer webinar logistics and technology, including setup, recording coordination, execution support, post-event reporting, and publication or distribution
  • Archive completed projects in accordance with Research Services lifecycle standards


Performance Indicators:

Successful performance in this role will be evaluated against the following:

  • Research outputs are published, distributed, and documented accurately, consistently, and on time according to approved workflows, quality rubrics, and content standards
  • Project setup activities are completed timely, accurately and consistently across approved tools, templates, documentation frameworks, file structures, and collaboration spaces
  • Virtual events are administered smoothly, recordings and related materials are processed correctly, and post-event reporting and distribution requirements are completed on time
  • Completed projects are archived in a timely manner and using documented processes and business rules


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in research support, project coordination, content operations, online publishing, administration, virtual events, knowledge management, or a similar role
  • College degree or equivalent work experience in business, communications, social science, library/information science, operations, project coordination, or related field
  • Intellectual curiosity, flexibility, eagerness to learn, and willingness to develop business knowledge, research literacy, and APQC-specific process understanding
  • Strong organizational skills, effective time management, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records across multiple systems and workstreams
  • Comfort setting up and maintaining project records, documentation structures, files, workflows, status updates, and publishing or content-tracking information
  • Solid written and oral English and interpersonal skills necessary to work as a team member and communicate clear updates to stakeholders
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and comfort learning collaboration, project management, content management, reporting, event, automation, and AI-enabled tools
  • Ability to support basic research, content, publishing, promotional, event, and administrative activities while managing multiple priorities with a customer-focused mindset
