Our firm is seeking a Business Litigation Partner with strong interest and experience in business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex business litigation matters, developing strategies and providing superior client service. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned attorney who is ready to take their career to the next level within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Business Litigation Partner, you will:
1. Manage and oversee complex business litigation matters from investigation, pleadings, discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
2. Develop and execute litigation strategies, conduct rigorous legal research, and prepare legal documents.
3. Conduct depositions of parties and expert witnesses.
4. Engage in business development activities, including networking, writing articles, speaking engagements, and attending industry events to generate new client relationships and strengthen existing ones.
5. Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of clients' legal matters.
6. Provide advice and guidance to clients on business litigation matters, ensuring that they are fully informed of their legal rights and obligations.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes and developments in business litigation law and industry trends.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in business litigation, with a strong track record in managing complex cases.
3. Experience in business development activities, with a proven ability to generate new client relationships and maintain existing ones.
4. Demonstrated experience in conducting depositions of parties and expert witnesses.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice to clients.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective litigation strategies.
8. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar association.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, as well as independently when required.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
