Summary:
The Key Accounts Business Development Manager, reporting to the Director of US Sales, will be responsible for developing business opportunities for WillowWood, a leading manufacture of prosthetic medical devices,across a portfolio of assigned customers that will evolve over time. This role will work with assigned customers in coordination with RAMs and other functional areas to create new opportunities by project managing these accounts until a stable revenue stream is attained. This role can be located in a Dallas, Houston or Denver.
Position Expectations
- Identify and validate with Commercial leadership a robust pipeline of Key Account opportunities
- Build out account plan to include focus products, training needs and schedule, GTM approach, and coordination of resources to execute
- Become the central point of contact for assigned accounts until steady revenue stream is attained at which point transfer of day-to-day management is delegated to RAM
- Maintain evergreen pipeline of opportunities proposing new accounts to add to portfilio
- Record all customer visits, action items, and sales opportunities in Salesforce
- Perform administrative duties as required. This will include making travel arrangements, keeping calendar up to date, completing expense reports and inputting pertinent information into Salesforce and keeping Pipeline report up to date
- Travel up to 80% of time
Essential Responsibilities of the Job:
- Establish a trusted advisor relationship with assigned customers
- Drive new revenue through execution of account plans
- Transition day-to-day management of fully on-boarded accounts to RAMs
- Maintain evergreen pipeline and discuss and agree to execution plan with Commercial Leadership
Essential Skills Needed for the Job:
This position requires a highly motivated sales leader capable of managing complex scenarios and the ability to design and deliver customized value propositions. The role must understand prosthetic workflows and cost and profit drivers in order to become a resource to the customer.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities include:
- Minimum of 10 years sales and marketing experience within the prosthetics industry
- Practical knowledge in development of offering value proposition including price/profitability analysis
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or other related field
- Effective product presentation skills and consultative selling approach
- Strong computer skills/experience with Microsoft products – PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Ability to travel, including overnight and weekends as required
- Strong organizational and time management skills as illustrated by proven experience in establishing own goals, work activities, and schedule
- Ability to collaborate, influence, and contribute within a dynamic team environment
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- A working knowledge of Social Media platforms and an understanding of using Social Marketing to drive sales and build professional relationships
- Success in Inside and Outside sales strategies
- Experience with clinical patient interaction
