Objectives of the BB Sales Finance team are generally categorized into:
- Planning & Reporting - Provide timely and accurate financial reporting, explain results and variances, track against targets and ensure profitability goals are achieved, support broader BB finance team and CFO
- Business Support - Support Divisional executive leadership teams with internal presentations and business reviews, ad-hoc business projects / requests
- Strategic Analytics and Projects - Drive critical financial analytics to provide insights for management decision making, partner with other finance and functional teams to lead and / or support strategic business projects to help achieve business goals and drive market leadership
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze financial results, provide variance analysis, prepare/coordinate presentations for quarterly management meetings and Divisional business reviews
- Provide business and financial support of balance sheet and income statement for Division, Markets and Areas
- Deliver other statistical and field productivity data to support profitability decisions and strategic initiatives
- Regularly and proactively interface with Market and Area management teams to advise, coach, teach, present and interpret financial and business information
- Use business knowledge and independent decision making to solve financial issues and help increase revenues and pretax income
- Leverage advanced analytics on customer behavior that can help drive the business as well as develop models to justify business actions (e.g. staffing and/or business cases)
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- 7+ years experience in Banking, Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or related discipline
- Experience with PitchPro, Essbase, Business Objects, Tableau or Alteryx helpful, but training on the job will be available
- Strong judgement, professional maturity and personal integrity. Strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, fact based approach. Positive attitude, teachable, coachable
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills - ability to synthesize financial information into concise, insightful and actionable recommendations comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management. Confidence to challenge the status quo and drive change
- Excellent quantitative and analytical problem solving skills and ability to work with large data sets in Excel. Exceptional attention to detail related to providing accurate and timely data
- Expertise in creating presentations and delivering presentations to groups and ability to manage concurrent projects
- Position requires occasional travel
Candidates must be able to physically work in our New York, NY or Columbus, OH office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
