Job Summary:

The Commercial Analytics Intern role supports the Commercial organization by turning business data into meaningful insights that inform sales and brand decisions in a fast‑paced CPG environment. This role fills a critical gap by providing dedicated analytical capacity for exploratory analysis, dashboard development, and data support. The internship focuses on foundational analytics, hands‑on learning, and project ownership within a structured support environment, going beyond observation to deliver tangible outputs. Through this work, the intern contributes to the department’s strategic priorities by strengthening data literacy, enhancing reporting capabilities, and supporting data‑driven decision‑making, while building confidence working with business data, developing practical Power BI and Excel skills, and gaining exposure to how analytics supports commercial strategy.

Analytics Enablement & Exploration

  • Test and document Power BI Copilot capabilities, providing feedback on strengths, limitations, and use cases
  • Develop process for leveraging Data Agents in Copilot to streamline Out of Stock resolution on Key Chains
  • Leverage Copilot & Power BI to optimize new product launches, including category framing, account segmentation, and performance tracking

Power BI & Circana Analysis

  • Build and maintain simple Power BI reports and visuals using existing datasets
  • Support category, share, and performance reporting using Circana (e.g., category trends, Top‑X account views)

Reporting & Documentation Support

  • Create and enhance documentation on core Power BI reports including developing About” pages, documenting purpose, metrics, filters, and usage guidelines
  • Support cleanup and organization of Power BI report files, Data Flows, and Manual Source files, including identifying inactive or duplicate reports
  • Assist in improving documentation for internal reporting tools and dashboards

Data Organization & Maintenance

  • Support product and account mapping maintenance, including fiscal year updates and general upkeep
  • Update Custom Master Data keeping products and account groupings up to date and accurate (MDS, Call Points)
  • Help validate data consistency across products, accounts, and reporting views
Qualifications:

Required

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (sorting, formulas, basic analysis)
  • Interest in analytics, reporting, and data‑driven decision making
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Introductory exposure to Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Experience tracking sales, inventory, or performance data
  • Interest in the wine, beverage, or CPG industry
  • Curiosity about AI or analytics automation tools (e.g., Copilot)
Working Conditions:

Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00

The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
