Job Title: Rail Car Loader

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Rail Car Loader to join our team. This role involves working in bulk truck and railcar loading operations, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. You will be responsible for operating all necessary equipment and following safety protocols to load bulk trucks and railcars efficiently.

3rd Shift: 6pm-6:30am ($20.13)

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment required to load bulk trucks and railcars.
• Work safely on top of a bulk truck or railcar using appropriate fall protection.
• Adhere to schedules to ensure orders are loaded by the correct departure time.
• Perform sanitation and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Direct other employees in proper safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Learn about and operate all equipment in the bulk house.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Reliable transportation to and from work on all shifts and weekends.
• Ability to rotate shifts and provide job coverage, including weekends.
• Capability to stand and walk continuously for 8-12 hours if necessary.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Strength to lift and carry 50 pounds (23 kilograms).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools and mechanical assembly is advantageous.
• Previous experience in general labor roles is beneficial.

Work Environment

This position requires working in bulk truck and railcar loading operations, often outdoors in varying weather conditions. The role involves physical activity, including climbing, lifting, and prolonged standing or walking. We prioritize safety and provide all necessary equipment and training to ensure a secure working environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHATTANOOGA, TN.

The pay range for this position is $19.73 - $20.13/hr.

This is a hybrid position in CHATTANOOGA,TN.
