Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to diagnose issues and plan repairs effectively
• Experience in scheduling and managing maintenance activities
• Excellent management and supervisory skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• Ability to perform other related duties as assigned
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of five years’ maintenance experience
• At least three years of supervisory experience
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Successful background and CORI check required for employment

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department
• Delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
• Supervise custodial and maintenance staff to ensure quality work
• Monitor safety and cleanliness of all indoor and outdoor areas, including offices, grow and post-harvest rooms, labs, kitchens, and parking lots
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed
• Schedule inspections and coordinate emergency repairs with external vendors
• Collaborate with Security to maintain proper security measures
• Prepare reports on maintenance, repairs, safety issues, and other incidents
• Prepare facilities for seasonal weather changes, including snow removal and asphalt treatment
• Assist in budgeting and scheduling for facilities needs in coordination with Senior Management

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to navigate the property and 153,000 sq ft facility for inspections and repairs
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Physically able to perform repairs when necessary
