Breakfast Attendant / Housekeeping Assistant – Deliver excellent customer service; put out, clean up & maintain breakfast; keep the lobby clean and inviting, and work with housekeeping department after breakfast until the end of the shift to help put up laundry, help stock the stockrooms, and general cleaning of public areas.
Pay Range is $15 - $17 per hour.

Position SummaryThe Continental Breakfast Attendant is responsible for the daily setup, maintenance, service, and breakdown of the hotel’s complimentary continental breakfast area. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a positive guest experience by delivering a clean, welcoming, and well-stocked breakfast environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of hospitality and cleanliness.
Duties and Responsibilities- Guest Service & Hospitality
- Greet all guests promptly and warmly as they enter the breakfast area.
- Provide courteous and professional service, answering questions about food offerings or hotel amenities.
- Resolve guest concerns or complaints within scope of authority; escalate issues to the Executive Housekeeper or Hotel General Manager as appropriate.
- Monitor guest feedback and communicate both positive and negative comments to hotel leadership in a timely manner.
- Breakfast Area Setup & Maintenance
- Prepare and set up the continental breakfast area each morning in accordance with hotel standards and safety regulations.
- Ensure all breakfast items (baked goods, beverages, fruits, condiments, etc.) are consistently stocked, fresh, and attractively displayed.
- Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces, appliances, and service areas throughout breakfast service.
- Clean-Up & Inventory
- Break down and thoroughly clean the breakfast area at the conclusion of breakfast hours.
- Sanitize all equipment, dispose of trash, and ensure storage areas are organized.
Monitor inventory levels and submit purchase requests for replenishment in accordance with hotel policy. - Assist with inventory counts as requested.
- Team Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate effectively with hotel staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest service.
- Attend staff meetings or training sessions as required.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Job Requirements- Availability: Must be available to work early mornings, including weekends and holidays.
- Appearance: Must report to work in a clean and professional uniform.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and stooping.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Guest Services Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or food service is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a calm, friendly demeanor under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Basic food safety knowledge preferred (training will be provided, if necessary).
Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a hospitality setting with exposure to kitchen appliances, cleaning chemicals, and hot or cold food items. The work is fast paced, particularly during peak breakfast hours, and involves direct interaction with hotel guests.
