Full Charge Bookkeeper

Looking for a Full time Full Charge Bookkeeper to manages our organization's daily financial records, including recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, processing payroll, and managing accounts payable/receivables making deposits. Preparing month end financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements, ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks online.

Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30 in Hartford Area
Starting pay: negotiable Full Benefits Offered

Key Responsibilities

  • Recording Transactions: Accurately document all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, and payments in QuickBooks online software.

  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.

  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor invoices, prepare customer invoices, and follow up on collections.

  • Payroll Processing: Manage payroll through ADP and Payclock.

  • Financial Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet).

  • Compliance & Tax Preparation: Prepare necessary documentation for tax season and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Experience preferred.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, often 2+ years.

  • Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Accuracy: High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain 100% accuracy in data entry.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with vendors and management.
