Under the general direction of the General Operations Manager, the Track Operator assists with overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the BMX Track facility, including USA BMX-sanctioned and non-sanctioned programming, facility supervision, event operations, rider instruction, and staff oversight. Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on programming schedules, practices, races, and special events, and may be adjusted as needed. This position ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality programming. Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the City’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma is required. A minimum of five (5) years of BMX racing experience is preferred. A minimum of one (1) or more years of supervisory experience is required. Must be actively involved in and passionate about the sport.
A comparable amount of training, education, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
