Required Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) in a hospital or healthcare environment
  • Strong experience performing preventative maintenance (PM) on biomedical equipment
  • Familiarity with medical equipment such as:
  • Infusion pumps (BD/Becton Dickinson preferred)
  • Patient monitors (Philips preferred)
  • Hospital beds
  • Experience using testing tools such as:
  • Electrical safety analyzers
  • Digital voltmeters
  • Pressure meters
  • Ability to work independently after onboarding and manage assigned work orders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, nurses, physicians, and hospital staff
  • Experience working within an asset or work order management system
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance standards

nAn employer of Insight Global is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I (BMET I) for a contract engagement supporting a hospital environment. This individual will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance (PM) on biomedical equipment to ensure all devices meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards. This role is critical in maintaining the reliability of patient care equipment and requires strong technical skills combined with professionalism in a patient-facing environment

.This individual will

  • :Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of biomedical equipment within a hospital settin
  • gComplete PM checklists and documentation to ensure compliance with safety and performance standard
  • sUtilize diagnostic and testing tools (e.g., electrical safety analyzers, voltmeters, pressure meters) to evaluate equipment functionalit
  • yWork within the hospital’s asset management system to track, update, and complete assigned work order
  • sIdentify and escalate any equipment issues discovered during preventative maintenanc
  • eMaintain high standards of professionalism while interacting with patients, clinical staff, and hospital personne
  • lAdapt to schedule changes as needed to complete maintenance activities outside of peak patient hour
  • sCollaborate with internal Biomed team members during onboarding and transition to independent wor
