BIM/VDC Coordinator

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a BIM Coordinator for a leading electrical construction client. This role is suited for an experienced coordinator with 3–5+ years of Revit‑based BIM/VDC experience who can independently lead electrical modeling and 3D coordination efforts. The coordinator will drive drawing production, participate in trade coordination meetings, resolve clashes, and communicate clearly with both field and project management teams. This position offers strong ownership, technical complexity, and long‑term growth within a stable, well‑established construction organization.

Must‑Haves

• 3–5+ years of Revit experience in the electrical field
• Strong experience producing 2D and 3D electrical models and shop drawings
• Proven ability to read, interpret, and explain electrical construction drawings
• Strong understanding of all facets of construction drawings and specifications (architectural, structural, MEP, electrical)
• Experience participating in or leading coordination meetings

Plusses

• Experience with BIM 360, BIM Collaborate, or Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Experience overseeing or mentoring Assistant Coordinators
• Experience preparing and managing RFIs
• Background supporting large‑scale commercial or federal construction projects

Day‑to‑Day

• Lead the production and review of 2D and 3D electrical models for construction and coordination
• Produce shop drawings, conduit layouts, cross‑sections, and underground routing
• Prepare and track RFIs and design clarifications
• Participate and lead coordination meetings
• Support and guide Assistant Coordinators as needed
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades
