Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for electrical substations, including component modelling, layouts, earthing, and related systems using Autodesk Revit.
Generate high-quality 2D drawings, assembly diagrams, and layout plans directly from 3D models, ensure deliverables align with project requirements and UK standards where applicable.
Conduct clash detection and resolution (Navisworks) and coordinate with different disciplines to achieve a fully integrated, clash-free model.
Create and optimize parametric BIM Families to support design intent, improve reuse, and streamline project workflows.
Apply QA/QC procedures to models and drawings, maintain model integrity, data consistency, and audit trails.
Provide specialist BIM support to design teams, including analysis, modelling for electrical services, and schematic development.
Generate accurate quantities and drive BOQ extraction from BIM models, assist in cost estimation activities.
Support the BIM Manager/Coordinator with 3D visualizations, renders, and model-based presentations/design/drawings to communicate design concepts.
Independently manage workloads to meet project timelines, demonstrate effective planning, prioritization, and proactive communication.
Develop and maintain BIM documentation and best practices for Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM360/ACC.
Stay current with industry standards, UK practices, and evolving BIM technologies, advocate continuous improvement within the team.
Collaborate with UK-based design teams and senior engineers to translate project requirements into technically accurate models.
Utilize cloud-based collaboration environments (BIM 360/ACC) for model sharing, version control, and issue tracking.
