BIM Technician - Electrical

To work as part of our Services Team to provide CAD/BIM support to engineering projects. The successful candidate’s role will be as an MEP Revit Technician within the WSP India in our Bangalore/Noida office producing BIM models and detailed engineering designs and construction drawings. You can expect to be active on a number of projects at any given time. You will report to CAD/BIM Manager in Project functionally and reporting to Line manager operationally.

• Prepare MEP 3D Revit Model in LOD-350/400
• Coordinate models with other MEP services, Architectural and Stuctural model.
• Clash detection and clash resolution
• Provide specialist support to design teams preparing analysis and design models
• Support design teams and bid teams with the creation of 3D visualisations
• Support design teams and bid teams with creation of 4D models / visualisations
• Prepare quantities for use in BoQs from the 3D model.

Key Competencies / Skills:

Experience in the use of the following software is essential:

• REVIT MEP
• AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
• Navisworks
• Dynamo script

Experience in the use of the following software is desirable but not essential:

• Autodesk 3ds MAX
• MS Excel
• MS Word

The candidate must:

• Have good English communication skills.
• Ability to access the time requirement for completion of the task.
• Be able to work closely with colleagues at a senior level.
• Be computer literate.
• Have a valid passport and be prepared to be seconded for up to 3 months as projects dictate (base will be Bangalore/Noida).
• Ability to plan and manage his/her workload
• Lateral thinking and knowledge in other MEP services.
• Ability to understand own limitations and limitations of the software being used
