The HT Group is seeking a
bilingual (English/Spanish) TEMP Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant to provide temporary coverage in our clients office located in downtown Houston.
This position does not involve pleadings and is focused on pre-litigation case support, client interaction, and administrative coordination in a fast-paced personal injury environment.
Responsibilities:- Work directly with Spanish-speaking and English-speaking clients regarding pre-litigation accident claims
- Support the pre-litigation team in managing an active MVA docket
- Gather, organize, and maintain case documentation including medical records and bills
- Communicate with insurance carriers, medical providers, and third parties
- Assist with preparing demand packages and other pre-litigation materials
- Update and maintain case management systems accurately and consistently
- Coordinate appointments, follow-ups, and case deadlines
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the legal team
Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Prior experience in personal injury pre-litigation strongly preferred
- Experience working with motor vehicle accident (MVA) cases a plus
- Strong communication and client service skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active files
- Comfortable working in a team-based, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems preferred
Job Title: Bilingual Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant (Temporary Coverage – 6 Weeks)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Pay Rate: $18-$20hr (DOE)
Duration: Temporary assignment (approximately 6 weeks) beginning the end of June
