Position Summary
The Bar Trainer supports the Beverage Manager by ensuring all bar programs, standards, and training initiatives are consistently executed across all venues. This role is responsible for ongoing team education, reinforcing Levy beverage standards, and driving product knowledge, service excellence, and brand compliance.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Training & Development
• Delivers ongoing beverage training programs across all venues on a regular basis, ensuring consistency in execution and knowledge
• Conducts follow-up training and reinforcement to sustain standards and address opportunities
• Works with the Beverage Manager to develop and implement comprehensive product knowledge training for all bar teams
• Supports onboarding and continuous education of new and existing team members in beverage service, standards, and sales techniques
• Assists in maintaining Responsible Alcohol Service training in partnership with the Alcohol Safety Coordinator
Standards & Compliance
• Ensures all bars consistently operate in accordance with Levy beverage standards and Core Signature Guidelines
• Conducts routine audits of bar operations to ensure adherence to recipes, presentation, and service standards
• Verifies that POS buttons, menu pricing, and product offerings are accurate and aligned across all locations
• Ensures compliance with all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
Brand Partnerships & Execution
• Supports the execution of brand partnership agreements, ensuring all contractual obligations are met at the venue level
• Assists with brand activations, promotions, and events, ensuring proper setup, execution, and team understanding
• Acts as a liaison between operations teams and the Beverage Manager to ensure brand standards are upheld
Operations Support
• Partners with the Beverage Manager and venue leadership to reinforce beverage programs and initiatives
• Provides hands-on support during service as needed to model best practices and coach team members in real time
• Assists in maintaining consistency in beverage presentation, quality, and guest experience across all outlets
Team
• Builds positive relationships with venue managers and team members to foster a culture of learning and accountability
• Communicates regularly with the Beverage Manager regarding training progress, challenges, and opportunities
• Promotes a collaborative work environment focused on continuous improvement and guest satisfaction
Job Requirements
• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, with the ability to train and educate others effectively
• Experience in high-volume bar or beverage operations preferred
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills
• Ability to lead training sessions and engage diverse teams
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of POS systems and beverage cost controls preferred
• Must be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and events
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Must meet all legal requirements for alcohol service and hold required certifications
