QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
  • 2 – 4 years of Benefits experience in a corporate environment; retail highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent relevant experience
  • Previous experience in leave and accommodation administration
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Experience in Word, Excel, ADP HRB and other applicable database programs helpful

PAY RANGE: $25.00 - $28.00/hr*

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration and analysis of Boot Barn’s health and wellness, programs. This position is expected to maintain a friendly and professional work environment with employees and supervisors, motivate others with energy and enthusiasm for the business, and proactively plan and execute benefits initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with Leave of Absence and Accommodations maintaining records according to state and federal regulations.
  • Administration of leaves end-to-end; initial intake of leave, certification, tracking, and return to work.
  • Administration of medical accommodations engaging in and guiding partners/ stake holders through the interactive process to resolution.
  • Maintains and updates leave and accommodation records with leave management systems
  • Coordinates return to work processes, including fitness for duty certifications, accommodations and communication with managers to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Serves as point of contact for partner and managers, providing clear, timely and empathetic communication throughout the leave and accommodation process.
  • Performs regular audits of leave and accommodations to maintain data integrity in reporting.
  • Administer all aspects of statutory disability claims, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and timely submission of required documentation.
  • Assists the greater benefit team with Audits, Billing, and Open Enrollment
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
  • Ensures compliance with all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.
