POSITION TITLE: Bell Captain
DIVISION: Hotel
DEPARTMENT: Hotel Front Service, Hotel Tower IV Front Services, Parking/Valet
GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H9—Non-Exempt
BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Work Permit--Peach
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Front Service; Supervisor, Transportation
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the dispersion of bell attendants and the day-to-day operation of the bell station.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain proper Bell Staff rotation and accurately record services performed
Act as a lobby ambassador, both greeting and directing guests
Respond to guest service requests
Utilize LMS to verify inventory and locate guests
Ensure all Harrah’s Brand Service standards are met for Bell Service
Act as a role model to their staff
Investigate and coordinate the recovery of lost, misplaced, or damaged luggage claims.
Ensure all arrangements are executed flawlessly for all Casino and VIP guests’ pre-registration and baggage handling
Maintain knowledge of the hotel, community, and special events to accurately provide guests with needed information
Execute all the duties of a front service attendant
Adhere to all regulatory, company, and department policies/procedures in an ethical manner
Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or GED is required
Two years of experience in bell desk is preferred
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
Ability to handle multiple tasks/duties simultaneously under time constraints
Ability to logically and independently plan, organize, complete work, and take initiative
Ability to set and achieve high standards of performance
Receive instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients, or staff
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent guest service/public relations skills
Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
Demonstrated teamwork behaviors and attitudes
Self-starter; must work without close supervision
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be able to work in a small, shared office space
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 50 pounds
Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
