ChristianaCare's Center for Women's Emotional Wellness department at the Christiana Hospital is looking to hire a Full Time Behavioral Health Therapist II

The Behavioral Health Therapist II will provide high-quality psychosocial therapeutic services to enhance the quality of patient care through an integrated model of health care at ChristianaCare. This Clinician will provide psychosocial screening and intake, interdisciplinary consultation, complex care coordination, resource identification and navigation, development and delivery of support and psychoeducational groups, and educational services for patients and caregivers affected by perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and other emotional challenges associated with Women’s Health. They will provide ongoing clinical and programmatic collaboration with the Center for Women’s Emotional Wellness within Behavioral Health and the Onward by NeuroFlow digital therapeutic initiative.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday- Friday: Day Shift

  • No weekends/ holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides coordination of psychosocial care and screening and navigation services for Perinatal Mental Health, in collaboration with Behavioral Health, Women’s Health, and affiliated medical practices.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (psychologists, psychiatrists, obstetrical providers, nurses, case management, support staff) regarding patient needs and facilitates connection to ChristianaCare and community-based services as appropriate.

  • Conduct timely brief phone consultations, triages incoming patient referrals, and conduct semi-structured interviews to connect women’s health/obstetrical patients and their caregivers with appropriate psychosocial treatment.

  • Collaborate with Director of Center for Women’s Emotional Wellness and clinicians, along with Women’s Health colleagues, to develop and deliver group therapy and psychoeducational services.

  • Provide brief psychosocial screening and education in multidisciplinary centers to facilitate team-based and patient-centered care.

  • Communicate diagnostic impressions to multidisciplinary teams and provides feedback to patients as requested by team.

  • Effectively manage risk and provides crisis intervention services

  • Support Clinical Training efforts to expose trainees (psychology, social work) at all levels to interdisciplinary teamwork.

  • Provide clinical supervision for clinical trainees, with support from core faculty, as appropriate

  • Actively participate in clinical triage meetings and provide peer consultation, support to team and women’s health staff

  • Facilitate and track outbound referrals to outside resources/services and follows up with patients to ensure continuity of care.

  • Identify and connect patients with community and government resources; advocates on their behalf as needed.

  • Maintain appropriate records of interactions with patients.

  • Complete all clinical documentation in a concise, accurate, and timely manner with proper use of technology.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or doctor’s degree which qualifies in their state for licensure or certification is required

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health preferred, in order to bill independently.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in mental health setting preferred

Annual Compensation Range $68,161.60 - $109,054.40

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
