RESPOND provides services to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders with severe problem behaviors.
RESPOND is a program with other LBS staff that offers services to clients in a residential group home setting with 2 beds and in the family home to manage challenging behaviors, implement behavioral plans and strategies to prevent services and placement in a restrictive setting. This role requires staff to travel within Allegheny County. Treatment team meetings and working station are available at the Quantum Building, which is located in the Southside Works area of Pittsburgh.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with leadership to complete the annual training needs assessment in alignment with program guidelines
· Lead and deliver staff in-service training for the treatment team as directed
· Participate in system-wide training and education initiatives beyond routine clinical duties
· Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Behavioral Specialists under leadership guidance to ensure quality care, service continuity, and safety
· Integrate evidence-based practices into clinical supervision, including teaching and skill development
· Deliver individual and family therapy in community-based and/or inpatient/outpatient settings
· Perform duties in accordance with system-wide competencies and expected behaviors
· Complete additional responsibilities as assigned
· Masters degree in Psychology, Child Development, Applied Behavior Analysis, Early Intervention, Education, Special Education, Instruction in Learning, Social Work or a related field.
· Three years of clinical experience required.
· One year of demonstrated progressive leadership experience required.
· Knowledge of behavior principles, evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM preferred.
· Behavioral Specialist Licensure and/or Certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, National Certified Counselor, Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner or another similar Behavioral Health license/certification required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Behavior Specialist Licensure and/or Certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, National Certified Counselor, Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner, Alcohol Highway Safety Schools Instructor or another similar Behavioral Health license/certification required. Per Maryland state regulations, if candidate has a Masters in Psychology, they must hold a LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) or a LGPS (Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor). If candidate has a Masters in Social Work, they must hold an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LMSW (Licensed Master of Social Work).
