JOB SUMMARY: This role offers high school students the opportunity to gain real world experience in the hospitality and event industry. Student banquet servers support the setup, service, and breakdown of events including conferences, community celebrations, district events, and special gatherings. All work is performed under adult supervision, with a focus on professionalism, teamwork, and building workplace skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. Job Task Descriptions Frequency Percentage of Time 1. Setting up tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, buffet stations with food and supplies, and beverage areas in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards. Ensure the event space is clean, organized, and guest- ready. Daily 20% 2. Provide friendly and attentive service during events, including passing hors d’oeuvres, replenishing items, and assisting guests as needed. Maintain a polished, welcoming presence throughout the event and knowledge of the menu and products in hand. Respond to guest special requests and resolve guest complaints. Daily 25% 3. Follow proper food-handling and safety guidelines. restock stations, maintain cleanliness, and ensure items are refreshed promptly. Daily 10% 4. Clear tables, collect linens, assist with equipment breakdown, and return items to proper storage areas. Help reset the space for the next event. Daily 20% 5. Communicate respectfully with staff, peers, and guests. Arrive on time, follow direction, and contribute to a positive work environment. Follow safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times. Daily 20% 6. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Daily 5% TOTAL 100%

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
  • High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
  • No professional work experience required
  • Must maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance and follow venue grooming standards.
  • Flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Maintain or ability to acquire ServSafe Food Handler certification
  • Current Cherry Creek Innovation Campus student
