A law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join its practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent creditors, debtors, and other parties in interest in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other filings in Chapter 11 cases and related proceedings
- Assist with out-of-court restructurings, workouts, and distressed transactions
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on bankruptcy and corporate restructuring issues
- Participate in court appearances, hearings, and client meetings
- Manage case files and coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 2–5 years of bankruptcy and/or restructuring experience in a law firm
- Strong experience with Chapter 11 matters preferred
- Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
