Toledo Ballet is seeking a passionate and dedicated Ballet Instructor. As part of our professional team, you will have the opportunity to teach dance classes to students of ages 7-10, choreograph routines for performances, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes continued dance education and training.
Compensation
Pay: $15-25 per hour

Weeknight afternoons & Saturdays
Responsibilities
Teach dance classes to students of ages 7-10
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and goals of the Toledo Ballet
Provide guidance and feedback to students to help them improve their technique and performance
Choreograph dance routines for annual performance/demonstration
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to plan and coordinate studio events and performances
Attend and participate in periodic faculty meetings on Saturday afternoons
Be available to meet with the Artistic Director periodically for professional feedback and event information
Requirements
Experience in teaching Beginner-Intermediate level dance, with a focus on ballet is a plus
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
Experience working with students of ages 7-10
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including email communications
Ability to effectively manage a studio classroom setting
ABT lower level instruction certification is a plus but not a requirement.
